Critique On Keynes :: essays research papers

History of Economic Thought: The writer begins with an introduction in which it is stated that the schools of thought were contradictory in their theories. What should have been answered is how and from what perspective: Neo-classical or Keynesian? The main points of her paper are the following: "Neo-classicists, such as Friedman, hold that the U.S. failed to provide liquidity to its banks," which caused the great depression; if the government does not intervene, the economy would then head towards full employment. Keynesian economists, on the other hand, believe that the government should intervene actively through means of fiscal and monetary policy to promote full employment and economic growth (with price stability). Moreover, they believe that the cause of the Great Depression was due to the government not intervening as they should have. The writer assumes that the Great Depression could have been resolved by both the Keynesian method, or the Neo-classical, however, does not state the cause of it or methodology. There may be no wrong or right answer, nonetheless, some reason for it should have been drawn; this approach would clarify what the Keynesian or Neo-classical remedies are. The writer does not develop the main points throughout the paper. She goes on restating the ideas by saying that Friedman believes that the economy is "self-adjusting and regulating" and that "Keynesian economists credit good monetary and fiscal policy with getting an economy out of recessions and periods of low growth. I did not get a sense of what side she was advocating, it seems that she may have been neutral. Furthermore, she did not state the two schools of thought’s analysis of th macroeconomy, which led them to think that their methodology was correct (according to them). In reference to the monetarists (especially Friedman) she did not mention how they advocated steady and consistent growth of money stock. In her conclusion, she stated that "human behavior is complex and often hard to predict. Keynesian ans Neo-classical economists are often trying to make sense of the nonsensical".

Charlemagne was born on April 2, 742, and grew up, illiterate, in a place unknown today. Although Charlemagne was illiterate he did speak old Teutonic, Latin, German, French, Spanish, and understood Greek. Charlemagne is best know as 'Charles the Great'. Charlemagne was 29 when Carloman II, his father, died. Charles then became sole king of France. Two years later he received an appeal for aid against the Lombard Desiderius from Pope Hadrian II. Charles left for was after he received the appeal. When Charlemagne returned to his capital at Aachen he began a series of campaigns designed to round out his empire. This was by conquering and Christianizing Bavaria and Saxony, destroying the troublesome Avars, shielding Italy from the raiding Saracens, and strengthening the defense of Francia against the expanding Moors of Spain. All of the preceding shows what a strong Christian Charlemagne was during his lifetime. Charles the Great also wanted peace and wellness for everyone (no matter who they were). While Charlemagne was king he legislated for agriculture, industry, finance, religion, and especially education. He wanted as many people as possible to go to school and get any sort of an education. Charlemagne was greatly generous toward the Church. Bishops played a leading role in his councils, assemblies, and administrations. Charles called Bishops 'Agents of God'. Charlemagne earned his nickname, 'Charles the Great', because he has been known to be the most powerful king ever. He also started the Hole Roman Empire during his reign. The Hole Roman Empire was one of the most brilliant ideas in the history of statesmanship. It was, altogether, the transformation of Charlemagne's realm into a Holy Roman Empire that should have behind it all the prestige, sanctity, and stability of both Imperial and papal Rome. Charles gave his younger brother, Louis, the privalege of being king in 813.

The study on the production of chalk out of sea shells was designed to producequality dustless and long lasting chalk to compare with the standard existingcommercialized chalks if there are any, which was sold in the market. The chalk out of sea shells is for local or non-local used for schools or any educational aspects or even athome which can be formed into different sizes and colors according to your will. We, theresearchers, used the sea shells to recycle and transformed it into a useful product thatwill be used in our developing community. The production of this artifact that has been created by us strictly followed the procedures. First, collect sea shells from the sea shore. Then, boil it until it opens and being crushed into powder and becomes ready to be processed and made to differentfigures. Thus, the production of the product was accomplished and tested on its qualityand strength.Data on the successful product were tested and was finished accurately. Resultsshowed that the said finished product, made from sea shells, is comparable in terms of appearance and quality. Animal Farm: the Story of Animals Were Overworked, Tied and Starved Essay

The attitude you have towards work can be greatly influenced by how the person in charge runs things. This statement is true in George Orwell’s allegorical novella â€Å"Animal Farm.† The attitudes of the animals of Manor Farm (later changed to Animal Farm) change depending on who is in charge of it. Under Mr. Jones’ rule, the animals were overworked, tired and starved, and they did work only to avoid being beaten. Under the reign of Snowball and Napoleon, the animals were tired but they were well fed and happy to do work. This is because the work they did benefited themselves, rather than humans who gave nothing back to them. Finally, under Napoleon’s supremacy, the animals liked work less and less because they were tired, overworked and underfed.. So, as you can see, the person who is in control of animal farm affects the way the animals feel about work. Mr. Jones was the cruel owner of Manor Farm, later changed to Animal Farm. While he was in control he starved, overworked and beat the animals to get them to work harder so he could earn a greater profit. (QUOTE) The animals feel enraged due to the fact that Mr. Jones makes them work so hard for his own gain and then gives nothing back to them. The animals end up revolting against him, running him off the farm and claiming it for themselves. So, since Mr. Jones was such a bad ruler, the animals had a negative attitude towards him and the work he made them do. After the passing of Old Major, Napoleon and Snowball gained control of Animal Farm, formerly known as Manor Farm. Snowball had a persuasive voice, was very intelligent and was an overall good leader.Napoleon, on the otherhand, was not a great public speaker, was not as intelligent as Snowball, nor was he as good a leader. Under their govern, they ran the farm smoothly.All animals were fully fed and the work the animals put into the farm, they got back. (QUOTE) By being able to benefit themselves rather than a greedy human, the animals were glad to get down to work. So, since the animals in control ran the farm smoothly, the working animals were happy to do their work, just as long as it benefited themselves. Napoleon was a cruel, selfish and manipulative pig. He was the sole ruler of Animal Farm after he had gotten Snowball run off the farm.At first, Napoleon lead the animals into thinking that the work they did was to profit themselves. Instead, the only ones who were benefiting were the pigs. (QUOTE) It was not until later that they realized that they were overworked, starved and tired. None of what they put into their work, did they get back. Napoleon, along with taking more than his share, also had his dogs slaughter any person who could turn into a possible opponent. Lastly, Napoleon was a bad leader because he broke all the seven commandments and then tried to cover it up by having Squealer alter them. So, as you can see, due to the fact that Napoleon was such a cruel and selfish leader, the worker’s attitude’s towards work was negative. Depending on who was in govern, the animal’s attitude towards work altered. If someone cruel was in control, such as Mr.Jones or Napolen, the animals would have a negative attitude because they were being overworked,starved, and nothing benefited them. On the otherhand, if someone nice and intellingent was in power, such as Snowball, the animals were happy to go to work due to the fact that they were getting back what they put into it. So as you can see, depending on who is in control will greatly influence the way workers feel towards their jobs.

Aviation Regulation in the United Kingdom is statute law created by acts of parliament most of which is covered by the Civil Aviation Act 1982 which lays down the roles of the main authorities for the control and regulation of civil aviation in the UK, mostly covered by the secretary of state for transport, the department for transport and mainly the CAA. The Civil Aviation Act 1982 aims to deal with issues of roles, functions, duties and policies but does not act alone as other legislation affects civil aviation regulation. For example international conventions such as the Warsaw Convention and the Airport Act 1986 which provides of most of the regulation for UK airports (Blackshaw, 1992, p. 30).
